Just Precious!

Can't you just see her thinking...

"Who me...Precious? I don't know what your talking about!"

Tender Touches

There's Mamma and me....

Then there's just Beautiful me!

Autumn Morning

One of my all time favorite things to do is to go for an early morning drive-all by myself! Hot coffee with hazelnut creamer and my camera on stand bye right by my side. The windows are often cracked open to let the crisp, cool autumn air sink in. If you where to pass me on the road you might see a woman with a smile on her face and a song in her heart, but watch out... the mini-van might swerve and halt at any given moment in an attempt to capture something beautiful!

Beautiful Harvest!

I hope you are able to take time to enjoy the beauty of Fall...to look up and truly see the colors and all the incredible changes that are taking place and dawning for the winters embrace.
It's a beautiful Harvest!

A Pastor with GUTS!

Thought you might enjoy this interesting prayer given in Kansas at the opening session of their Senate. It seems prayer still upsets some people. When Minister Joe Wright was asked to open the new session of the Kansas Senate, everyone was expecting the usual generalities, but this is what they heard:

Heavenly Father,

We come before you today to ask your forgiveness and to seek your direction and guidance.

We know Your Word says, 'Woe to those who call evil good,' but that is exactly what we have done. We have lost our spiritual equilibrium and reversed our values.

We have exploited the poor and called it the lottery.

We have rewarded laziness and called it welfare.

We have killed our unborn and called it choice.

We have shot abortionists and called it justifiable.

We have neglected to discipline our children and called it building self esteem.

We have abused power and called it politics.

We have coveted our neighbor's possessions and called it ambition.

We have polluted the air with profanity and pornography and called it freedom of expression.

We have ridiculed the time-honored values of our forefathers and called it enlightenment.

Search us, Oh, God, and know our hearts today; cleanse us from every sin and set us free.

Amen!

My husband and I have started a study called The Truth Project by Focus on the Family. We meet every week with several other couples to view a dvd and have a discussion time. This study is crammed packed with wisdom and thought provoking statements. My mind has been processing non stop as we we're left with the question,

"What Lies have you bought into?"

I have been hard at work trying to recognize the lies I have accepted into my own life, faith and relationships. I also am looking at the world around me with fresh eyes of insight. The lies are ramped and all around us. This is serious stuff! Just look at society as a whole! I think of how our children hear lie's everyday in one form or another, many times over, everyday. Some are so settle, others blattened and glaring. The images, the messages...what are they really saying to us in their sneaky, conniving, under minded way. Your fat, dumb, lazy, your not good enough, your not qualified, your not smart enough, your not pretty enough....your not loved unless....the list goes on and on....

I want my kids to know TRUTH from LIE's....I want them to know the Truth of God's word and not the Lies of this world. I was raised to not talk politics or religion...Well- Tough! It's time to stand for TRUTH and it's time to speak up and speak out! I praise God for Pastors that are bold enough to speak truth to a very lost and confused world.

Think about it, what Lie's have you bought into?

Ladies Retreat at SeaKrest

The words to describe a weekend away with the girls would be...WISDOM....Oh so Much wisdom...I was blessed to be surrounded by some lovely women who's lives reflect good character, love and not to mention a little insanity too....

Real women with real hurts and struggles...coming together for a weekend to find rest and healing in the light of Gods word. Our focus study was from Beth Moore's/Loving Well... It was a precious time away to laugh, encourage and have our cups filled to overflowing..so to better serve our Lord in a hurting and desperate world. I love teens, but the blue hairs can be just as much fun if not more! Have you ever played "NINJA" with someone over the age of 70? If not you should try it some time! I have never laughed so hard in my life.
