TIP TOE'IN IN THE TULIP'S!

The first burst of cherry blossoms and daffodils gave alert that a "family day trip" was soon in the making. I was raised in the Pacific Northwest and the onset of spring brought much anticipation of our voyage to Skagit Valley to see all the vibrant colored fields of Tulips. In wanting to stay with tradition and desiring to give my own kids fond family memories, we set out to find rainbow fields! We not only found beautiful fields of flowers, but also lots of fun activities for the kids and other big mechanical sights to see.

SO HUBBY HAS A GREEN THUMB?

This was the site of last years garden. The boys did a great job digging out mounds of dirt and making paths for watering. The only thing was that before the garden grew, it seriously looked like we had five shallow graves in the back yard. Non the less the garden was a success, so this year my hubby is really getting into it and doing raised beds. Gotta love a hard workin man! Thanks for your hard work hun...it looks great!

The Secret to Success is FOCUS & PURPOSE!

Anybody watch BIGGEST LOSSER?"

Well, I have made up my mind, "I am up for a little suffering...so I don't suffer!" I am 38 years old, married with two young (very active kids) and I have been struggeling with severe back pain for almost 6 years now. It has decreased the quality of every part of my life and I have been so increadibly discouraged. I was finally given the diagnosis of Advanced Oastio arthritis a few months ago and I have been pouting about that for a while, but now I am ready to move forward and do what I can to help myself. So here it goes for some acountability to myself, blogging buddies and THE SUFFERING with MERA Gang! These are my Goals.

Short Term:
Elliptical 2x a wk minimum 30min/ Swimming 1 hour class-2x wk/minumum @ 6am (now that is suffering to this non morning gal)..also giving up my late afternoon coffee and eating past 7:00pm.

Long Term:
1) Being a healthier stronger wife and mom who can really play and have fun with her kids without pain.

2) Be physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually strong, disciplined and balanced to make and reach goals in my life and faith walk, especially in terms of pursuing a photography career and building my business for the Glory of God!

“The Secret to Success is focus and purpose.”
Just a little ditty I wrote in my journal from Tommy Edison
