WISDOM!

Life is short, Forgive quickly, Kiss slowly, Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably, And never regret anything that made you smile. Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we're here we should dance.

Life shouldn't be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather, to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly shouting, 'Wow! What a ride! Thank You, Lord!!

APHORISM:
A SHORT, POINTED SENTENCE EXPRESSING A WISE OR CLEVER OBSERVATION OR A GENERAL TRUTH; ADAGE

1. The nicest thing about the future is that it always starts tomorrow.
2. Money will buy a fine dog, but only kindness will make him wag his tail.
3. If you don't have a sense of humor, you probably don't have any sense at all.
4. Seat belts are not as confining as wheelchairs.
5. A good time to keep your mouth shut is when you're in deep water.
6. How come it takes so little time for a child who is afraid of the dark to become a teenager who
wants to stay out all night.
7. Business conventions are important because they demonstrate how many people a company
can operate without.
8. Why is it that at class reunions you feel younger than everyone else looks?
9. Scratch a cat and you will have a permanent job.
10. No one has more driving ambition than the boy who wants to buy a car.
11. There are no new sins; the old ones just get more publicity.
12. There are worse things than getting a call for a wrong number at 4 AM.
Like this: It could be a right number.
13. No one ever says 'It's only a game.' when their team is winning.
14. I've reached the age where the happy hour is a nap.

16. The trouble with bucket seats is that not everybody has the same size bucket.
17. Do you realize that in about 40 years, we'll have thousands of old ladies running around with
tattoos? (And rap music will be the Golden Oldies ! )
18. Money can't buy happiness -- but somehow it's more comfortable to cry in a Corvette than in
a Yugo.
19. After 50, if you don't wake up aching in every joint, you are probably dead!!

Always be yourself. Because the people that matter, don't mind. And the one's that mind, don't matter.

Seattle for Spring Break!

This is a very precious picture to me. Here my children are looking above to the towering Space Needle...the very place their grandparents met and fell in love some 46 years ago at the Worlds Fair in 1962! Papa Doug was a young strapping guard on the Seattle Center Fair grounds while Grandma Jeri was flying high at her job as the very first elevator operator at the Space Needle. To say the least Seattle is a very special place to our family. The Space needle stands as a firm tall tower of remembrance and Love. The kids really enjoyed seeing all the sights.

We took time to make some wishes...

We played with all the many toys at the Science Center and

had fun as a family and laughed a ton!

COLORFUL EGGS!

I love Easter... I love that spring is here and that life is becoming more colorful once again. I especially love picking out special treats for Easter baskets for my kids and enjoying coloring Easter eggs as a family. Since we have little ones ages 6 and almost 3, every holiday is filled with much excitement and anticipation. Besides Easter bunnies, jelly beans and chocolate... our central focus is to celebrate with hearts of gratitude that which Christ did for us. May you be blessed this Easter as you reflect on the awesome gift our Savior has given.

SPRING HAS SPRUNG!

Here are some spectacular pictures of SPRING "springing" taken by Scott and some of the teens in his youth group. They made a recent trip to California to visit Simpson University and Scott spent some of their down time giving photo tips. I am so glad they took the camera with them. Wow... beautiful pictures you guys... you have inspired me beyond belief.

MY SISTER, THE HORSE TRAINER!

My sister is an amazing horse trainer. She speciallizes in training Tennessee Walkers and Rockey Mountain Horses. Allison often asks me to snap some action shots of her working with these big beauties. Link to Smart Stides Training Center to see more of what she does. Allison's web site features some of my work. We are in the process of capturing some new feature photographs for her site, to be added soon. http://smart-strides.com/

A LITTLE GIRL'S DREAM!

Here's my little girl, enjoying a dream come true! Meet Auntie Allison! Isn't she beautiful! Ever since we where young our family has been in love with horses, so much so that my folks left theIr city life to live the life of island farmers and horse handlers and my sister became a full time horse trainer. Now that I have kids of my own, the love of horse back riding and showing is quickly being passed to the next generation. My daughter Makayla had her first pony by her 2nd birthday and was in the showring by age 3. Here are some highlights of Makayla's horsemanship journey thus far. Thanks to Auntie, Grandma Jeri and Pa-pa Doug!

MY LITTLE GET-A-WAY!

Have you ever felt so blist, you just want to drive somewhere, away from it all and think, or better yet, not think! I got to do just that! I was up at 5am so I grabbed my dogs Jake and Josie and headed to the ocean. Fresh air and prayer does a spirit good.

WEDDING DAY DETAILS

In January I had the privilege of photographing my second wedding. I have had several requests to post more photo's, so let me give you all the details. Erin (the bride) was in my husbands youth group, over 12 years ago. We have stayed connected over the years and she asked Scott to officiate her marriage to a terrific guy, Andy. Our daughter Makayla was also included in the days festivities as flower girl and I as photographer. What a beautiful, busy day for all of us.

I love this photo, it was taken by Thereasa, my partner in clicking!

The reception was over the top fantastic!

This is my favorite photo of the whole night! Erin's dad is a cancer survivor and it was such a joy to see them share this dance.

There is more to the story as you can see from the candle placed near the alter. A quite reminder of a younger sister not able to attend her big Sis's wedding. Kristin was also in Scott's youth group along with her twin brother, Adam. Kristin died after loosing her battle with an eating disorder. We did our best to intervene, with no avail. Kristin's spirit was most definitely present for Erin's big day, her best friends stood in her place by Erin's side.

The details of a wedding are my absolute favorite. I think it is important to capture as much as possible, especially after all the hours a bride-to-be puts into planning her special day.

Here's our girl seeing herself in the mirror for the first time with her pretty dress on. She was so smitten with herself. The grin she gave is forever etched in my heart...this moment took me forward in time to envisioning her on her wedding day.

Oh and lets not forget the wonderful food. The grooms dad did the cake. You know how something always goes wrong at a wedding. Well the cake took a tumble as the flowers where being placed on it. These pictures where taken after this mishap, but I still think the cake was beautiful Dave! It was also very delicious!

We love you Erin and Andy!

May God Bless your marriage!

Thanks for letting us be apart of your special day...
